Helston and the Lizard Foodbank needs your help

13th September 2017

The Helston and the Lizard Foodbank has experienced an exceptionally busy period during August providing 1,161 meals to local people in crisis. The school holiday period is always a demanding period for families battling to keep their heads above water as free school meals cease for the summer.

While the Foodbank volunteers have rallied well to deal with the huge surge in demand stocks are running very low in some areas. We urgently need donations of the following items:

                                                        Soup

                                                        Small packets of tea

                                                        Longlife milk

                                                        Longlife juice

                                                        Dried milk

                                                        Sponge puddings

                                                        Instant mash potatoes

                                                        Tomato ketchup, brown sauce, etc

                                                        Jam

Sweet treats such as chocolate etc

We currently have plenty of pasta and baked beans which are always  popular donations but could benefit massively from the greater range of items listed.

Thank you for your help and support. Your donations and contributions make a critical difference to local families in crisis.
